01 · the run-through

From a username to a bound book.

Three steps, and the middle one is where the book takes shape — page size, which games to include, and whether analysis has to be present.

How it works

    Enter your username

    Type your Lichess handle. The tool checks it exists, then fetches only your public games — directly from Lichess to your browser.

  2. 02

    Choose the book

    Page size, colour, results, whether analysis must be present. The strongest games are laid out first, each with the board at its most interesting moment.

  3. 03

    Print or bind

    Print at home, or save a PDF and send it to a bookbinder. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to make.

What you get

  • A real position, not a diagram

    Every board is rebuilt from the game's own PGN. Where Lichess has analysed the game, the highlight lands on the biggest turning point; otherwise it picks a sensible mid-game moment.

  • The best game, first

    Games are sorted by the combined rating of both players, so the strongest game earns a full page and the rest fill tidy multi-game layouts.

  • A4 or A5

    A5 is a proper pocket chess book; A4 gives the boards and move lists more room. Both are sized exactly, so printing needs no scaling.

  • Made to be bound

    Cover art, an imprint page, a stats page, move-list tables and blank notes pages — a complete book, ready for a binder such as Mixam.

Getting a clean PDF

The book is sized to the exact page, so the print dialog only needs a few settings. Turn on background graphics and the cover art and chessboard squares come through; leave it off and they print blank.
